Dániel Laszló: “Maria-way”

Dániel László (1976) painter graduated at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Art in 2001 with the guidance of Zsigmond Károlyi. His artistic approach has been vision-based and realistic from the beginning. From 2003 he has been the president of SENSARIA Fine Art Association.
His main theme for a longer period used to be his home and his family. Beside the intimate interior-pictures he painted city scenes of Budapest also portraying ravaged districts with soft streaks of irony. His first pilgrimage the El Camino to Spain in 2009 meant a big change in his artistic approach. From that point he started to represent his further pilgrimages in image cycles. The experiences of the 40 day pilgrimage to Csíksomlyó in 2010 inspired him to paint 40 pictures. One year later in 2011 he wandered from Budapest through Esztergom to Mariazell. Our guests can look into a collection of pictures insiped by his last two pilgrimages. The different landscapes, chuches, roadside crosses and even pictures of industrial districts are actually Dániel Laszló’s travel log of his inner spiritual journey.
